Janice is a Partner in Goodman, McDougall & Associates Ltd., a Human Resource consulting firm incorporated in 1991 which provides facilitation and total rewards programs and services to a wide variety of corporate, government and social-profit organizations.

Living with her husband Gervais Goodman on an acreage near Millarville, Janice is also an active volunteer and Board member in her
personal and professional communities, currently including The Pembina Foundation, Bio-Inspired Design Community and RDLUC Healing Ministry.

She was a founding member and Past President of the Board of the Foothills Land Trust.

Neil Wight, Trustee

The Longview area has been home to Neil Wight most all of his live. He and his lovely maritime wife have three grown daughters. Career wise, agriculture and construction in the energy industry have split Neil’s path and he has enjoyed the travel on both. Neil joined the Board of the Sheep River Health Trust in the fall of 2010 and at the time he didn’t realize the depth and breadth of the organization. He is continually amazed by the wealth of knowledge and expertise of the Trust and by the level of achievement that has been realized and that which is yet to come. For Neil it is truly exciting to sit on the board as it evolves and develops to help meet the needs of the health care system in this area.

Jack Steen, Trustee

Jack Steen and his family have lived in the Millarville area for 36 years. His career of 42 years with RBC Domionion Securities Inc., brings a wealth of knowledge to the Board. Jack has been a volunteer since 1970 having started with the Calgary Stampede Rodeo Committee. He was elected to the Stampede Board of Directors in 1986 and elected President and Chairman of the Board in 1997 having previously served as Vice President for 4 years. Jack presently serves on the Board of Directors of Scouts Canada Foundation (Chinook Region). Jack is also very involved in the Millarville Rodeo. Prior to joining the Board, Jack was a volunteer on the Sheep River Health Trust’s Advisory Council. Jack is focused on our youth and dedicates his time to raising funds to support youth projects.

Helen Smith, Trustee

Helen Smith with her husband Dave, live in the East Longview area. Helen has lived in this area the majority of her life and together they have raised five children here.

Banking was her occupation in early years, then she worked as District Office Administrator for the High River Office of Agriculture Financial Services Corporation for over 20 years. In 1998, she was awarded “The President’s Award for Outstanding External Customer Service”; selected from 400 potential candidates across the province.

Helen was honored to be asked to be on the Sheep River Health Trust Board of Director’s. It provides her a way to give back to the community by assisting with the Trust’s mission of promoting health and wellness in our communities.

Her volunteer work includes assisting with functions at the East Lonview Community Hall, various positions on the Highwood Curling Club Board and helping friends and neighbors.

She is active in curling, golfing, and gardening.
