“I’d like to thank the Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies Program and the Public Health Unit for their initial and continuing support for my son…and myself. I began by joining in at a local Cooking Circle which helped me meet other parents and their children with who I’d not have come across in the community. This helped create a shared bond and introduction to parenthood in a whole different light, especially as a single parent. Things such as the fresh food boxes have given me such peace of mind, knowing that I can afford healthy food for us.
